Creating resilient, thriving teams

Humans have been gathering into groups to get things together since time immemorial. In modern times, organizations have only grown in importance, complexity, and impact.Yet many organizations face common struggles:     • Conflict among top-level leadership
     • "Distracting" conflicts among team members
     • Wasted effort
     • Burnout
I bring a suite of bespoke tools into organizations to help them with these symptoms and more. Some techniques I use include:     • 1:1 development coaching
     • Organization culture assessment and intervention
     • Team cohesion and conflict resolution
     • Organization design and restructuring
More information about my OD services is forthcoming.

Creating belonging through modern oral tradition singing

If there's one problem with our world, as I see it, it's the frays in the fabric of our communities:
     • Intolerance of difference
     • Shame
     • Isolation
Singing together is a potent medicine, brining embodied attunement to community spaces.I've been singing in groups since 2014 and leading community song circles since 2022.I don't have a photo of our singing group, so here are some flowers

Grief Tending

I remember the first funeral I went to.I'm 12, and my best friend's dad has just died after a prolonged battle with ALS.Sitting in the passenger seat of my parents' car as we drove to the funeral, "Bridge Over Troubled Water" played on the radio.I wanted to weep and cry. But there'd be time for that at the funeral, right?Nope. It was all stoic. I watched as my friend received bland condolences from our community. I could see her choking back tears. Our world has become inept with grief. We don't know what to say to someone grieving, and we conceive of grief primarily as something that happens when someone dies.It turns out that the human body and communities have access to a much deeper and more nuanced relationship with grief.Through community grief tending, I'm committed to helping us give voice to our griefs in all their forms.

Thank you
